Carol Cutter passed away peacefully on Monday, September 6th at 2:15 P.M. in Community Hospital South, Indianapolis. Carol was born on September 5, 1943 in Lexington, Kentucky. She was raised in Bedford, Indiana by her parents, Carroll (Ted) & Kersey Bair (Riggs).
She was the Indiana Department of Insurance Commissioner and was active in the Health Underwriters Association at the National, State and Local level. The IAHU has an annual award given on her behalf, The Carol Cutter Legislative Excellence Award. She was also active in her Sorority, Kappa Delta.
Carol enjoyed reading, boating, volunteering for her church and spending quality time with her family and friends. Some of her notable attributes included her bubbly personality and her laugh that could be heard from a mile away.
Carol was the last surviving sibling. She had two sisters, Nancy and Susan. Family survivors include; Joe (Husband of 31 years), daughter Susan Denzio, son Stephen Keefe, and 10 grandchildren-Chad Widener, Kristina Huron, Kyla Denzio, Stephanie Widener, Megan Denzio, Ryan Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Jack Roy, Camrin Labrie, Skylar Labrie, and one great-grandchild, Jacklyn Lee-Jenkins.
Visitation will be from 2:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Friedens United Church of Christ, 8300 South Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46217. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010 also at the church.
The family requests that any donations in Carol's memory be made to Friedens United Church of Christ.
